Reporting to the SVP Finance and Accounting, the Director, Finance is a hands-on role supporting corporate finance initiatives, providing insightful financial and qualitative analyses to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the financial reporting process, assess performance, drive growth, efficiencies, and organizational scale.
Key Duties:
• Hands-on approach to create and drive financial planning & analysis, including but not limited to forecasts, budgets, long-range planning, presentations & updates, profitability, and cash flow analyses.
• Work with the Accounting and Finance organization to create efficient, timely, accurate, and transparent reporting and analysis through process improvement and automation.
• Provide accurate and timely financial analysis to track business performance, perform gross margin analysis and ad-hoc analyses as required.
• Prepare acquisition valuation models.
• Perform post-merger integration.
• Assist with data collection, analytics, KPI development, and measurement.
• Apply business judgment and financial insights to assist with decision-making given industry trends, business value drivers, and new growth opportunities.
• Preparation of scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, etc.
• Prepare financial management reports for SOX compliance, investor requests, and auditing purposes.
• Support the monthly close and reporting process in accordance with US GAAP.
• Key contributor and process owner in the SEC reporting process.
• Provide management and guidance of the company's ABL revolving line-of-credit, solicit and work with banks and other potential lenders.
• Work with the financial leadership team to create a COE (center of excellence) to be on point with financial and industry best practices.
• Special projects as necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or other relevant fields that demonstrates quantitative orientation.
• Prior experience in Media / Entertainment Financial Planning & Analysis.
• Extensive experience conducting and communicating quantitative and qualitative financial analysis.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with a track record of presenting detailed financial information clearly and concisely to key stakeholders.
• Display initiative in anticipating and meeting or exceeding the business demands.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and exhibits the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics.
• Expert in MS Excel and the ability to consolidate large data sets from multiple sources.
• MBA, CFA and/or CPA a plus.
• 10+ years' experience preferred.
• Experience working in a publicly-traded company required.
