Role Details:

The Video Operations Analyst will support all QoS/QoE aspects of CBS News Digital streaming channels. Likewise, manage and improve ''eyes-on-glass'' dashboards related to video service and delivery. The Video Operations Analyst will also support CBS News Digital streaming live events.

Your Day-to-Day:

Being a full member of the agile team, you will take part in all regular meetings and plannings. You will work both independently and together with the other partners on assigned tasks and projects that will fit your skills and abilities. On the video operations team you will monitor CBS News Digital on demand and live streaming assets, and triage any issues.

What you bring to the team:

You have –
• 3+ years in live TV operations roles, including Live events
• Strong knowledge of live streaming protocols such as HLS and DASH
• Worked with Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Extensive knowledge of live streaming workflows, from sourcing, processing, delivering and engaging from the live event origin all the way to end users
• Ability to multitask
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

You might also have:
• Experience with video engineering is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, media or similar fields preferred
• Understanding of various multimedia transport protocols such as: RTP, RTMP, SRT, UDP, Zixi
• Experience with video container formats, transmuting and streaming protocols (DASH/HLS)
• Experience monitoring and managing cloud based and in-house encoding software and abr monitoring appliances
• Experience with Digital Rights Management Systems (DRM), including Playready, Widevine & FairPlay
