KCBS/KCAL the nation's largest duopoly is looking for an expert, creative, aggressive, energetic Multi-Skilled Journalist to join our team. The ideal candidate knows how to build sources to produce original, impactful storytelling, is talented at integrating social media into daily workflow, and is passionate about local news. Candidate must have proven ability to shoot and edit broadcast quality video for multiple platforms. Proven experience working independently and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities:
• The daily gathering of news and information for various CBS/KCAL/CBSN platforms including TV, digital and social media
• Will work with producers and news managers on developing, researching, investigating, writing, producing and presenting stories as needed for both TV and digital platforms
• Present completed news stories that are accurate, journalistically sound, fair and balanced
• Will report live during newscasts and breaking news as needed
• Will shoot, edit, coordinate, manage, conduct and video record interviews
• Build links with community and contacts for developing impactful original stories
• Flexibility with respect to scheduling and/or assigned work shifts

Required:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MSJ/ Television Reporter Experience
• Proven social media skills
• Minimum 3 years' experience writing, producing and desktop editing

Educational requirements:
• College degree preferred
• BS/BA in Journalism/Communications or equivalent background
