CBS2/KCAL9, the nation's largest duopoly, is seeking an experienced and creative reporter for daily news coverage on all our multi-media platforms.

Responsibilities:
• The daily gathering news and information for various CBS/KCAL platforms, including TV, digital, and social media
• Will work with producers and news managers on developing, researching, investigating, writing, producing and presenting stories as needed for both TV and digital platforms.
• Presents completed news stories that are accurate, journalistically sound, fair and balanced.
• Will report live during newscasts and breaking news as needed
• Will coordinate, organize, conduct and video-record interviews
• Builds relationships with community and contacts for developing story leads.
• Flexibility with respect to scheduling and/or assigned work shifts

Required:
• 3-5 years of experience as a reporter
• Minimum 3 years' experience writing, producing and desktop editing

Educational requirements:
• College degree preferred
• BS/BA in Journalism/Communications or equivalent background
