Multi-Skilled Journalist

WCBS-TV, the flagship station in the ViacomCBS portfolio of owned television stations, is looking for an enterprising, self-sufficient multi-skilled journalist who has a passion for producing stories from conception to completion.

Core Competencies:
- Solid news judgement and ethical decision-making skills
- Must be highly skilled in all aspects of story production including shooting, writing and editing
- Must be able to reliably file reports on deadline for all station platforms
- Ability to identify engaging stories that align with station priorities
- Proven track record of creative storytelling
- Superior on-camera presentation

Primary Responsibilities:
- Enterprise original content for all platforms daily
- Execute dynamic live reports
- Ability to cover all types of news for all day-parts

Preferred Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a general assignment reporter in a medium to large market
- Familiarity with Tri-State area strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or similar field
- Must be willing to work flexible hours (late nights, overnights, weekends and holidays) and be adaptable to change
