Multi-Platform Executive Producer, Weekends (CBS KTVT-Fort Worth)

The Now Newscast/Innovation Lab seeks a dynamic Multi-Platform Executive Producer. Come bring your creativity, collaboration, and impactful storytelling abilities to our nimble team. If you're a self-starter, excel in a fast-paced multi-platform media environment, have excellent writing, proof reading, producing skills, and excel under the pressure of deadlines as well as being a solutions-oriented manager, then we are looking for you.

Must have a clear vision of how to build engaging content on multiple platforms, journalism processes, and ethics. This includes story development, script approvals, daily editorial meetings, from inception to completion. Responsibilities:
• Managing in a team environment with the ability to lead and inspire, by example
• Direct a team that writes, produces engaging content, including writing headlines, teases, cold opens, graphic animations
• Training team members to work accurately, responsibly and with a sense of urgency in a calm yet driven manner while focused on the task at hand
• Anticipating the needs regarding video, graphics, scripts, and other elements while also taking direction from senior news managers
• Coordinating with show producers
• Overseeing show/cut-in rundowns

Preferred Education, Experience, and Certification Requirements:
• Bachelor's or technical degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or allied field preferred
• Experience as a News Manager preferred with at least two of those years in a medium or large market
• 2+ years' experience in creating and building show rundowns in media, cable, broadcast, or digital environment
• Demonstrated success operating in a fast-paced control room
• Ability to work under extremely tight deadlines to write and edit headlines
• Nonlinear editing skills is a plus
• Available as needed to meet the business needs
• Fill in produce newscasts as needed
• Collaborate with the team to advance standard operating procedures for producers and associate producers
