Overview & Responsibilities:
CBS Sacramento is seeking a full-time multimedia journalist. We are seeking someone who has shown and demonstrated ability to comfortably, expertly & conversationally communicate with interviewees and viewers. The candidate will build entertaining and enterprising content that meets CBS programming strategies. The journalist needs to utilize their Social Media platforms between live segments, such as Tweets, Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram.
Basic Qualifications:
• Report scripted and unscripted news and features in both live and pre-recorded formats.
• Candidate must be able to guide efficiently through breaking news situations and quirky feature stories, words and pictures are crucial.
• Prior on-air reporting experience as a multimedia journalist is required.
Additional Qualifications:
• Strong writing skills and understanding of television news and entertainment reporting techniques are meaningful.
• iNews experience is required.
• Prior experience live reporting with both live trucks and backpack streaming video preferred.
• College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
