Job Description
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, MORNING SHOWWJZ-TV, BALTIMORE
EXPERIENCE:
3 years minimum experience producing news. Strong management skills and the ability to implement WJZ Brand strategy. Position requires strong writing and teasing skills, strong journalistic credentials, and a proven understanding of digital platforms and technical operations as they impact the broadcast. The EP manages newscast production by showcasing reporter packaging and providing feedback to Anchors, Reporters, Photographers, Editors and the Digital Team. The job requires a solid graphics ability with an eye toward overseeing the visual production of a fast-paced and compelling newscast. Senior Producing or Executive Producing experience preferred.
DUTIES:
• Supervise production of newscasts, responsible for guiding content execution for Producers and Reporters in order to support the WJZ Brand in every newscast.
• Emphasis on communicating strong, promotable content produced in an energetic and compelling manner by engaged anchors and reporters.
• Back up produce as needed.
• Overnight work required.
