Job Description

WJZ-TV in Baltimore is seeking a Broadcast & Digital Producer to work across all platforms.

EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years of news producing experience as well as experience in digital and social media preferred.
- Strong writing and editorial skills.
- Must understand newsroom operations.

DUTIES:

Responsible for implementing and managing digital strategy to enhance user engagement across multiple platforms. Produce original newscast for streaming, so line producing experience [referred. Ability to make independent editorial decisions on writing, producing and highlighting news content consistent with station philosophy and brand objective.

Respond quickly and optimally to breaking news across all platforms. Assign reporters to generate updates, fresh content, video and pictures for digital platforms. Ability to multi-task, communicate and coordinate with on-air television assignment editors and producers. Must be a self-starter who can work independently to achieve digital goals. Ability to write and edit scripts and video is important.

Candidates with basic video and graphic design experience preferred.

PROFICIENCY SKILLS:

HTML, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, WordPress and Social Media

Platforms. (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree Preferred
