Job Description

Working with a ViacomCBS property, the ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, excellent news judgment and advanced storytelling abilities.

Responsibilities include writing stories, headlines, and teases for the broadcast, identify story placement in the rundown, create graphics and identify production elements required to produce a newscast. The job requires some desktop editing and training will be provided for the right candidate.

Must be a self-starter, work independently and have excellent communication skills.

1 + years writing for a television news outlet in a medium or large market preferred. Bachelor's or technical degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field preferred. Must be results-oriented, innovative, and able to meet deadlines. Willing to a work flexible schedule.
