Assignment Desk Assistant

WJZ-TV, Baltimore

WJZ-TV in Baltimore is seeking an Assignment Desk Assistant to work with our Station's Assignment Desk. Candidate must follow local, national and international news as well as monitor social media for story information. Candidate must be aggressive and proficient in managing crews, breaking news and daily news content. This employee will assist reporters and producers on daily news stories. Candidate must be able to clearly understand and relate details and elements needed in daily news coverage. This employee will need to establish and maintain contacts and sources for news coverage. Ability to set up stories and gather information for breaking news is essential.

College Degree Preferred

Prior Newsroom experience is also preferred
