Job Description
Overview:

CBS Marketing is looking for a Vice President, Performance & Product Marketing to lead customer acquisition and retention efforts for CBS streaming services including CBS (.com/app), CBS News and CBS Sports. This important new position will balance critical thinking and analytical rigor to optimally build a performance marketing engine that is adaptable to our various business goals. You will also develop performance Key Performance Indicators, strategies, plans, and dashboards that measure and optimize the efficiency of CBS performance marketing campaigns. They will distill trends and performance indicators into decisions that drive owned and paid media marketing investment strategies. The Vice President will manage a team of Product Marketers to ensure strategic and impactful product merchandising opportunities and lead direct marketing channels (newsletter and push notifications). The VP will partner closely with internal teams such as Strategic Planning, Media, Research, Creative, and Product teams.

Responsibilities:
• Define digital performance marketing strategies for CBS digital products to meet growth, efficiency, and brand objectives
• Create an 'always-on' approach to marketing that enables constant and opportunistic acquisition of CBS audiences to digital platforms across owned and paid media
• Streamline processes and build scalable solutions to support a number of campaigns
• Partner with research, operations, and tech teams to define campaign objectives, estimate and track results, provide insights, and build premier tracking and reporting infrastructure
• Collect, analyze and use performance and engagement metrics of CBS platforms, content and performance media channels forming concrete insights to inform optimizations around channel strategy and investment levels to get results towards business goals
• Inform digital performance architecture for paid media campaigns across OTT, paid search, paid social, programmatic display, and evaluate new opportunities with internal media team and external media agency
• Develop testing roadmaps across paid digital channels working with partners across the business
• Gain familiarity across financial planning models for the streaming products, including forecasts around content, technology and paid marketing to deliver efficient ROAS
• Partner with our product team to understand product capabilities, roadmap and performance
• Lead efforts to fully demonstrate, optimize, and enhance product marketing channel development (including email, push, on-platform)

Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years experience in hard-working performance-based digital marketing roles, including product marketing and related customer acquisition and retention experience (Newsletters, Push Notifications)
• Relentlessly curious, customer centric and data driven, a master in translating data into practical insights
• Understanding of performance media channels (OTT, Social, Programmatic)
• Strong familiarity with analytical and reporting tools (Tableau, Google Data Studios, etc.)

• Well-organized with a strong ability to prioritize and juggle projects simultaneously
• Ability to operate with autonomy and discretion
• Strong interpersonal, relationship-development skills with a team focus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
• Ability to collaborate with internal team members and external agencies/partners
• Strong Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel skills
