VP, Production Finance (Studio City)

CBS Studios seeks a Vice President who will be responsible for leading all aspects of the Production Finance activities within CBS Studios' television production group. In partnership with their direct report, the SVP, Production Finance, the VP will efficiently manage day-to-day processes in a fast paced, results oriented, and highly collaborative environment.

The position will begin remotely then will be based in Studio City, CA in Fall 2021.

Responsibilities
• Prepare and review pilot and series production budgets, manage cash forecasts, review tax incentives for assigned projects
• Recruit, hire, and manage freelance Production Accounting teams in various jurisdictions, Foreign and Domestic
• Review weekly costs and direct oversight over management of production accounting staff supporting production
• Collaborate in setting Production Accounting policies and procedures, digital systems implementation, and contributing to overall production accounting efficiencies
• Coordinate financial terms of Co-Productions and collaborate with third parties on cost tracking and management
• Perform location Production audits and oversee ViacomCBS internal audits
• Partner with studio Production, Legal/Business Affairs, Labor Relations, Contract Administration to provide financial support
• Manage estimation of production film incentives, insurance claims and other production and union analysis
• Participate in ad hoc strategic projects for production, opportunities, and business decisions

Basic Qualifications
• 10+ years of Production Finance/ Accounting experience required
• Bachelor's Degree required

Additional Qualifications
• Significant experience working as Lead Production Accountant on location and distant major studio size productions
• MBA, Master's Degree, or similar advanced degree preferred
• Strong management, leadership, and written/verbal communication skills
• Strong financial modeling and analytical abilities
• Expert skill level with Movie Magic Budgeting, production accounting systems (Smart Accounting/Classic Vista/PSL), Excel, and PowerPoint
• Solid understanding of union labor agreements
• Broad understanding of series production budget & production incentives
• Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal and project management skills
• Attention to detail, desire for accuracy, and a strong sense of urgency
• Ability to understand and articulate issues using creative, production or financial context
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts, think strategically, identify problems, and implement solutions
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
