ViacomCBS is seeking a Reporter /MMJ who is an enterpriser!

As a Reporter/MMJ you will be responsible for originating, researching, writing, producing, presenting, and editing dynamic stories for WCCO, WCCO.com and CBSN Minnesota. Our idea candidate will have a demonstrated ability to develop and deliver stories that lead newscasts and add value to our viewers/users, and thrive off good characters and emotional storytelling. Responsibilities:
• Perform high-energy, engaging live shots as assigned
• Deliver on air and digital reports ensuring an accurate and ethical presentation of the news
• Conduct necessary interviews
• Meet all news production deadlines
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues in News, Digital, Promotion, Production and Engineering on daily assignments and special projects
• Participate in Community Relations events

Qualifications:
• Strong writing, videography and non-linear editing experience
• Results oriented, curious, creative and committed to teamwork
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Must be flexible to working all shifts, including mornings and weekends
• Must have a valid driver's license
• College degree in journalism or related field strongly preferred
• At least 3+years reporting in commercial television
• Enthusiasm for Minnesota weather and meteorology a plus
