CBS News is seeking a Coordinating Video Producer to serve as the editorial point person for news video on our streaming network. The producer will ensure that our streaming network's live news programming uses the latest relevant and most compelling video from across the global news organization, social media, as well as our agency and broadcast partners. The ideal candidate is editorially rigorous, proactive and collaborative. They will work closely with show producers and video editors to prepare eye-catching, insightful, and accurate video elements primarily for live programming, while coordinating with digital partners to deliver aired segments for publication on key platforms including cbsnews.com and YouTube. This producer thrives in a fast paced atmosphere and is able to keep calm during high-stress situations and breaking news.

Responsibilities:
• Screen and prioritize incoming footage to ensure all programs have access to and utilize the most recent and most compelling video throughout the day
• Create, assign, adjust, track, and deliver video elements to the show producing teams
• Collaborate with show producers to strengthen and execute requested video elements
• Partner with video editors to achieve desired vision
• Lead research and vetting of user-generated video
• Coordinate with digital partners to ensure cross-platform utilization of video elements
• Ensure accuracy of video, including reviewing for rights and appropriate context
• Manage multiple projects along parallel and intersecting timelines

Qualifications:
• At least 4 years of experience working in broadcast or streaming television news
• Must have prior experience as a news producer or editorially-focused video editor
• Experience ordering and creating original video elements for daily news programs
• Knowledge of Avid NewsCutter
• Exceptional organizational skills that allow you to juggle multiple projects at same time and prioritize when needed
• Must be willing to work some weekends, early mornings and late nights on short notice and as coverage needs require
