Role Details:

CBS Interactive is seeking an experienced QA Analyst to act as a core member of the Apple team. As a QA Tester, you are expected to help maintain a high quality standard product by creating comprehensive test plans and provide accurate test estimates for our development team. You are able to critically think about the level and complexity of testing required in each stage of the software development life cycle. The ideal candidate is also able to communicate test results to our engineers and product managers through proper communication pipelines.

Your Day-to-Day:
• Run, create and edit our various test suites for all Apple platforms
• Take ownership of assigned scrum team to ensure quality standards and requirements are met
• Validate and verify all tasks, stories and defects throughout our development cycles
• Help execute test plans across all Apple platforms - TV and mobile devices
• Help prioritize incoming issues and document steps to reproduce, as well as observed and anticipated system behavior
• Actively participate in daily standups, sprint planning and sprint ceremonies with an emphasis on optimizing testing cycles/resources with product and development teams to deliver shippable features
• Coordinate with the rest of the QA team to analyze and improve the QA process
• Review requirements, specifications, and design documents to provide timely and germane feedback
• Organize and triage defects logged by our external test team
• Participate in all phases of the software development process, including analyzing requirements, developing test plans, test cases, and execution of test scripts
• Work with support teams to triage and reproduce issues
• Create and communicate weekly test reports to our Company Leads, Managers and partners
• Additional other duties as and responsibilities, as assigned.

Key Projects:
• Analyze product quality and health using various bug critical metrics and reports
• Provide feedback on continually updating designs to give users the best possible customer experience
• Help develop efficient test strategies
• Be a hands-on QA Leader working within a fast-paced AGILE environment
• Inspire confidence to our other development teams and product partners

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications:

What you bring to the team:

You have -
• 3+ years Software Quality Assurance experience
• BS/BA Degree
• Experience in black box/manual device testing and analyzing various types and causes of defects (API vs Client)
• Understanding of software development process
• Experience in test case creation and testing estimation and Agile methodology
• Proficient in software tools such as Jira, Charles and TestRail
• Superb communication skills
• Able to work independently without much supervision
• Great problem solving and analytical skills

You might also have -
• Experience as a QA liaison to various scrum teams
• Complete understanding of mobile and other Apple products
• Technical Background and or Technical Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Working knowledge of Xcode and test automation tools
• In depth knowledge of various streaming technologies and services
