Job Description
WIAT / CBS 42 is seeking a creative, motivated, team-first Motion Graphics Designer to create visually compelling 2D/3D graphic assets in a Top 50 television market. Well-composed and structured graphics assets will be used for daily local news programs, sales projects, promotions, commercial production, print, web/digital and station events. This position interacts with newscast management, news producers and directors to successfully create designs to help the storytelling process.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Design/Animation or equivalent training and/or experience.

Experience: If creating cutting edge graphics is what you live for then we want to hear from you. 3-4 years experience preferred. Attention to detail is a must. You will need to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Ability to quickly develop a creative solution for daily news and promotion projects with the tools provided you.
• Efficient in 3D animation, modeling and texturing.
• Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite - specifically Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator is required. Premier Pro is desired.
• Cinema 4D experience is strongly preferred.
• Having experience with Chyron Lyric, Channelbox, Axis News/Order/Maps or Ross Expression is preferred. You will need to speak to this experience.

Qualifications: Must be able to take direction in style and technique and be open to constructive feedback. Willingness to both learn new skills/software and teach your teammates your skills when appropriate. Ability to work nights and weekends as required. Equally comfortable working in a team environment as well as independently. Broadcast experience strongly desired.
