WGME CBS13 / WPFO FOX 23, in Portland, Maine, is a trusted brand providing Maine viewers with local news, weather, sports, entertainment, and social media content. We help grow the most talented people in television. We are currently seeking an experienced and aggressive Investigative Reporter and Anchor to join our award winning I-Team. You will be part of a team that wins national and regional awards for its work. This is a rare opportunity to join Maine's preeminent broadcast journalism team while also anchoring a select newscast.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for breaking enterprise stories, holding the powerful accountable and giving a voice to the voiceless. You will be given time to develop complex investigations but will also be expected to turn same-day stories as needed.

Responsibilities include:
• Pitch and investigate issues impacting people in Maine
• Present complex investigations as well written and visually appealing broadcast and digital stories
• Relentlessly pursue stories for all platforms including social media and digital
• Unwavering commitment to journalistic ethics and standards along with knowledge of the law and how it pertains to your stories
• Anchor select newscast or newscasts as assigned
• Able to work in a fast pace environment, be a team player and meet deadlines

Experience:
• 2+ years experience as a broadcast investigative journalist
• Proven skills with FOIA requests, accessing open records, and data journalism
• Strong interviewing, storytelling and writing skills
• Effective use of digital and social media
• Prior experience as a news anchor
