The Job

The Sr. Manager is a member of the Global Franchise Management & Marketing team, responsible for supporting the WB Animation and Genre franchises (Looney Tunes, Hannah Barbara, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, WB Holiday and WB Horror). This team is responsible for the global management of the franchises within Consumer Products and Global Themed Entertainment (GTE).

Working with the Vice President, the Senior Manager is responsible for the Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, WB Holiday and WB Horror portion of the portfolio, developing the CP Global Franchise Plans and leading the development and execution of marketing programs that drive brand awareness and relevancy. This position works in close partnership and acts as a key day-to day liaison with multiple stakeholders, including but not limited to internal WBCP & GTE teams (Category, Sales, Creative, Product Development, Legal and international colleagues, etc.), WB divisions and key 3rd parties to drive strategic initiatives and facilitate the day-to-day management of the franchises.

The Daily
• Drives the development and communication of annual strategic CP Global Franchise Plans
• Leads the development and execution of Franchise Activation Plans and franchise guidelines
• Identifies and brainstorms unique ideas and executable programs to drive innovative franchise and marketing plans
• Works to develop cohesive and synergistic plans across all disciplines within WBCP and GTE
• Drives the following activities for the Animation and Genre business:
• Oversees day-to-day franchise management of the CP and GTE businesses
• Ensures that all franchise plans and marketing activations are designed and implemented to meet specific measurable goals (short term and long term)
• Collaborates with key stakeholders and departments to develop cohesive initiatives, including but not limited to promotional activities, trade and/or consumer promotions, advertising and other activities
• Works with Category and Retail teams to identify incremental business opportunities and to increase sell-in and sell-thru of licensed products
• Partners with international offices to drive regional implementation of franchise strategies and activations
• Delivers all plans and tools worldwide and in a timely basis – including franchise pitch decks, marketing materials, creative briefs, trade show materials, sizzles, etc.
• Works collaboratively with category, creative and sales to determine creative strategy for style guides as well as ensuring necessary third-party approvals for all Style Guides and product artwork as needed
• Participates in licensee meetings, when appropriate
• Partners with Category to support global licensees and develops best practice strategies to support global and local partners in all categories
• Manages annual budget and quarterly financial reporting on respective franchise expenditures
• Builds and maintains relationship with applicable colleagues in sister divisions: Franchise Development, KYAC, WBIE, WHE, Global Theatrical, etc. to establish a reliable and timely flow of information and materials related to assigned properties
• Creates licensee and staff messaging as needed to communicate relevant brand updates in a timely manner
• Aggregates and communicates key performance STATs
• Oversees the management of the Horror Icon's Instagram channel
• Manages one Associate to facilitate smooth day-to-day marketing submission approvals
• Other projects and duties may be assigned dependent on business development and needs

The Essentials
• Minimum 5-7 years work experience in a related field required
• Brand and/or Franchise Management experience required
• Entertainment or licensed consumer products experience is strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree with coursework in business/marketing strongly preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and presentation software programs required
• Effective and proven management and interpersonal skills are critical
• Must have sound understanding of strategy development, marketing principles and brand management
• Strong knowledge of digital platforms and media marketing tools
• Must have a clear understanding of the dynamics and needs of licensing
• Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of file set-up, maintenance and filing procedures
• Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation
• Fluent command of the English language required; second language is a plus
• Must be well organized with effective and proven planning and follow-through skills
• Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person, written, via phone, video conference, etc.
• Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively
• Must have the ability to work well under time constraints
• Must be able to handle multiple projects and prioritize assignments
• Must have the ability to effectively meet critical deadlines
