CAA seeks a Senior UX/UI Designer – Team Lead for our in-house Tech department to define, oversee and contribute to building out new, and improving existing, user experiences for internal and external digital projects.
This person will work closely with our Creative Services & Digital Strategy teams in order to evaluate, design, and implement tools to create best-in-class user experiences for existing and future web applications and digital products. This role will also involve creating and building out a UI/UX team.
Job Description
Responsibilities
o Lead UX/UI strategy including content modeling & design, information architecture, user research, benchmarking, and wireframing
o Creating and building out a UI/UX team
o Review and refine the existing inventory of CAA digital products
o Help to define digital product deliverables and identify process improvements
o Develop UX designs that align with user needs and long-term business goals
o Work alongside product and project managers in synthesizing requests and requirements from stakeholders and determining key deadlines
o Brief design team on UX/UI-related tasks and approve digital designers' work
o Lead in QA testing of digital products from audience and end user POV
o Manage individual workload, milestones, deadlines, and asking imperative questions needed to bring projects from concept to completion in partnership with the Project Manager
o Ingest and translate analytics from end user audits, creating actionable steps for improving experience
o Receive, digest, and incorporate moodboards, sketches, and direction from the Senior Art Director
o Responsible for sharing specific high-level projects, developing a rapport, and communicating design choices and direction, with colleagues
o Bring a unique point of view, style, creative strengths, skillsets, and experience to each project
o Brainstorm with creative team on upcoming projects and future opportunities
Qualifications
o BS in Cognitive Science, Human Computer Interaction, Psychology or related experience
o 7-10 years of professional design experience
o Strong understanding of key UX/UI principles and trends
o 1-5 years managing a team of UI/UX Designers
o Stellar portfolio showcasing past work
o Ability to translate business requirements into a digital product
o Mastery of Adobe XD, Figma
o Mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign and an understanding of new technologies and ways to harness them for our work
o Working knowledge of HTML, CSS for email and website applications. Fundamental knowledge of javascript/AJAX is a strong plus.
o Mastery of Keynote and PowerPoint
o Passion for innovation

o Excellent communication skills including the ability to articulate vision, creative concepts, and rationale for design decisions

Location:

Compensation: The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $116,000-$190,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
