OVERVIEW

CAA Sports UK is currently seeking a full-time Sports Business Affairs Assistant to support Executives in its CAA Sports division. The candidate will report to the Business Affairs Executive and is based in the London Office. The ideal candidate must be thorough, detail-oriented, flexible, self-driven and collaborative.

Although not an exhaustive list, the role will include the following:
• Develop, maintain and update systems to manage contractual information, including e-filing, referencing and indexing all business and associated documentation and data.
• Monitor client records and update client files and internal records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide assistance and support to the Business Affairs Executives, including assistance with editing, proofreading, summarising and redlining commercial agreements and legal documents.
• Carry out legal research and assist with special projects.
• General administrative support, including arranging phone calls, coordinating meetings, schedules and travel and preparing expense reports.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• Strong academic background: Undergraduate degree in Law 2:1 or above and if undergraduate degree is not in law, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) at a commendation level or above.
• Legal Practice Course (LPC) at commendation level or higher, preferable.
• Ideally the candidate will have some background in commercial law, as a paralegal or legal assistant.
• Sports industry-specific experience preferred.
• Should have some previous experience of drafting or completing basic legal documents.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail/accuracy.
• Ability to provide manage time effectively and work independently to meet demands of the organisation.
• Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and enjoy a team-oriented approach to work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and Adobe Acrobat.
