CAA is seeking a cloud focused Systems Engineer to be a part of our Core Services team. Core services covers network, compute, physical security technology, critical network facilities, voice and video. The systems engineer will be part of a dynamic team that is supporting our global environment. The qualified candidate will be a team player with strong troubleshooting skills and an eagerness to learn and grow. The ideal candidate has excellent time management, technical, and communication skills. This candidate also is end-user focused and driven by customer satisfaction.

Job Description

Responsibilities Include
• Provide continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and support of our systems, with a focus on our cloud infrastructure.
• Support and utilization of monitoring technologies as related to Core Services
• Identifying problems in the environment and driving them to resolution
• Contribute to Business Continuity, High Availability and Disaster Recovery designs
• Creating and updating technical documentation
• Work with vendors until resolution (hardware, software, service)
• Stays informed on emerging technologies
• Keeping up-to-date documentation regarding vendor maintenance schedules, coverage and support
• Assist team members on various core services related issues

Required Capabilities

Minimum 5 years experience with system support including items listed below:
• VMware installation and support
• Understanding of cloud compute environments and architectures within Azure and AWS
• Hands-on experience with private and public cloud services in a highly available and scalable production environment
• Understanding of networking and server hardware/OS
• Familiarity with endpoint devices and how they can be evaluated and optimized for best application experience
• Knowledge of monitoring methodologies and applications such LogicMonitor, Solarwinds, and Azure Monitor
• Background in Windows systems administration and management
• General IT support and investigation
• Vendor and task management
• Understanding collaboration software such as Teams, Slack, Jabber

Desired Capabilities
• Deployment and support of Azure Virtual Desktop environment
• Experience with access control systems including AMAG, HID card readers and access panels
• Familiarity with AV and theater systems
• Knowledge of on-premise and cloud IP telephony solutions
• Working in an ITIL environment with a focus on change and incident management or ticketing systems
• Understanding and experience with cybersecurity regulations and incident response
