CAA is seeking an AV Support Engineer who is a hands-on technical resource responsible maintaining and supporting our Cisco and Microsoft Teams conference rooms and multi-media design of public/common areas. The ideal candidate has excellent time management, technical, and communication skills. This candidate is also end user focused, a team player, and driven by customer satisfaction.
Job Description
Responsibilities Include:
Provide white glove support to internal business and technical staff to ensure our conference room and AV technology is running flawlessly.
• Support conference room AV technology:
• Microsoft Teams Room based video conferencing.
• Cisco WebEx CVI (Cloud Video Interop) to ensure Teams meetings work within Cisco rooms
• Cisco Telepresence Immersive rooms using WebEx
• Integrated AV systems such as Crestron, Biamp, QSC Q-Sys
• Respond to requests for meeting tech support, escalated Service Desk tickets, room technology inquiries
• Stay abreast of Microsoft udpates and feature changes
• Open Microsoft, Cisco, Crestron, AV support tickets as needed to keep equipment functional and/or resolve issues
• Create documentation for end user training, technical layout or other documentation requirements
• Support theater technology including Christie Projector, Digital Cinema, Tricaster and, Lighting, Sound Reinforcement
• Understand integration of live performance AV with conferencing or streaming technologies and recording
• Support live streaming technologies such as Vimeo Livestream, Wowza, NDI or RTMP inputs to Microsoft Teams
• Familiarity with all web conferencing technologies including Bluejeans, Zoom, WebEx and Microsoft Teams
• Support our 'CAACelebrates' digital signage environment utilizing the AppSpace application
• Demonstrate a high level of independent judgment and initiative
• Thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment, leverage best practices, and innovate through any problem with a can-do attitude
• Stay abreast of new and emerging technologies to help determine the best solutions for CAA's emerging needs
• Communicate well and provide documentation of changes and new design suggestions vetting with colleagues
• This position will include occasional night or weekend work should meeting support requirements arise
• This will be an onsite position in our Los Angeles office with an expectation for travel to other CAA locations as needed
Required Capabilities:
At least five years of AV support experience working with the following:
• Microsoft Teams rooms integrations
• Control systems such as Crestron, QSC Q-Sys or AMX
• Audio DSPs such as QSC Q-Sys or Biamp
• Delivering AV over IP with Dante, NDI or other technologies
• Understanding of displays, projection systems, microphones (including wireless), speakers and other in-room AV equipment
• Experience with digital signage
• Experience with AV monitoring and remote management tools such as XiO cloud, Vyopta, MS Teams Admin
• Understanding of networking concepts
• Troubleshooting experience on AV technologies
Desired Capabilities:
• Theater projection and digital cinema technology experience
• Experience with architectural light walls, video walls and other media experience technology
• Experience with Tricaster or other production switchers
