The Role

The New York office is seeking an Assistant to join their Speakers division. CAA Speakers offers a comprehensive roster of the most acclaimed speaker clients including celebrities, renowned athletes, directors, producers, world leaders and groundbreaking entrepreneurs. This division handles thousands of events each year with corporations, associations and universities to deliver the most appropriate and engaging speakers for each program and audience.

The Assistant will support two Agents and will be responsible for providing administrative support, executing ongoing sales research projects and making sales calls as and when needed. Assistant will also work closely with clients and their teams (managers, business managers, attorneys, assistants). Assistants are an important part of the CAA structure, and it is hoped that the successful candidate will ultimately become an Agent within the company.

Responsibilities
• General market research as required on: Buyers, Competitors, Brands, Territories, and Events
• Cold calling and prospecting new business
• Salesforce database management and optimization
• General assistance to the team with special and ongoing projects
• Day-to-day administrative support for two Agents (one NY based and one DC based), including calendar management, travel arrangements, expenses, answering calls, meeting and greeting clients

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Arts, Business or the equivalent preferred
• General understanding of pop culture, current events, media, sports, and entertainment
• Extreme attention to detail
• Driven, quick-thinking, and flexible
• Collaborative and team oriented
• Previous experience in related fields is desirable
