The Role

Creative Artists Agency is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor for our Finance/Accounting Group. The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily activities of the clerical staff to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.

Responsibilities
• Directs the activities of the department including work flow, process improvements and change management
• Determines staffing levels and maintains a qualified staff including: hires, trains and supervises work activities and evaluates performance. Monitors department workflow, conducts performance appraisals and initiates disciplinary action as needed
• Establishes, communicates and ensures adherence with department policies and procedures, subject to management approval for significant changes. Ensures staff demonstrates high levels of customer service through timely and accurate processing of invoices, timely response to inquiries, professionalism, and a positive attitude
• Reviews weekly invoices for coding
• Oversees the weekly payment run to include reporting
• Manages the recurring payments including: rents/leases and related CAM reconciliations
• Manages outstanding and re-issued checks
• Manages monthly and annual 1099 reporting
• Manages audit requests
• Hold weekly AP team meetings and provides status/update on issues
• Escalates issues as needed
• Manages AP projects
• Role is primarily located in Irvine with some regional travel to Century City

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Five or more years of Accounts Payable experience
• Three or more years of supervisory experience including strong leadership and team building
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of ERP system(s) and Microsoft Office preferred
• Strong Excel skills to include Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP's, formulas etc.
• Attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills and a hard-working attitude required
