The Role
BuzzFeed is seeking an experienced Creator Success Manager to support the Creator/Talent Partnerships Team
- one of BuzzFeed's strategic growth areas that includes its Creators' Program and larger on-camera talent focused initiatives. The Creators Program is one of BuzzFeed's key revenue and content drivers, covering the way BuzzFeed works with talent & personalities - Instagram influencers, TikTokers, YouTubers, Twitch streamers - and anyone else with a passion for viral storytelling - in both editorial and branded content. Via our branded integrations - our Creator business is a critical accelerator for BuzzFeed's advertising business and an exclusive growth opportunity for internal employees and external talent partners looking to venture into personal content creation and social media growth. In supporting these programs, you'll have the opportunity to work with some of BuzzFeed's top talent, external Creators and traditional celeb talent as well as providing crucial support to one of BuzzFeed's strategic growth areas.
The Sr. Creator Success Manager will work alongside innovators in the talent space and advertising industry - staying atop potential talent partners and the larger Creator Economy. Your main focus will be to aid in the continued development of creator-focused strategy across BuzzFeed and its sub-brands - Tasty, Nifty, Pero Like, MultiPlayer, As/Is, etc . You will also help build processes to integrate Creators into branded partnership opportunities and editorial content at scale. You'll collaborate with a multitude of teams including Sales, Branded Operations, Brand Planning, Ad Ops, Commerce, Licensing, Publishing, Editorial Video and Product Marketing.
The ideal candidate is passionate about working with talent, influencers and Creators and addicted to social media. They are interested in the creator economy, influencer branded content and are extremely content savvy. They are also organized, a great communicator, have a knack for relationship building, and are passionate about creator success. We are looking for someone who is comfortable navigating in a cross-functional role that touches everything from business strategy, process and product building, relationship management, social strategy, and production processes. It is important that this team member is a great relationship builder, able to hold it together under pressure and someone who can build trust with the talent they work with. The ability to maneuver through sensitive conversations including negotiations and establish themselves as a reliable go-to-person for talent is also a must. Additionally, this individual is also in the know of all-things-culture, is up to date on current trends and can speak to creator content strategies.

This is a full-time salaried position in our Los Angeles office reporting into our VP of Talent/Creator Partnerships. We offer competitive compensation and a stock option program.
You Will:
• Work as a pivotal part of the Creators team to continue to build on the creator business. This includes identifying and executing ways to grow revenue, creators, and strategy
• Identify and pitch branded and editorial opportunities to creators and/or their reps/managers/teams across diverse verticals including but not limited to the food space, lifestyle, sports, Gen Z, TikTok'ers, etc
• Manage relationships with established talent - including celebs - and/or their teams including managers, reps, etc. This includes negotiating individual brand partnerships and larger long-term contracts with talent and talent reps from initial convo to execution
• Coordinate talent integration into BuzzFeed content and social strategy and be the central point of contact for overall BuzzFeed partnership. Work with the social team to come up with a growth plan for strategy talent partnerships
• Develop reporting and feedback loop with Creators including overseeing tracking process to maintain internal databases on Creator integration - deals, editorial content and payments including overseeing regular check-ins with talent teams and BuzzFeed support teams
• Lead internal marketing of Creators alongside Product Marketing to support regular communications and promotion of Creators internally including deck building, programming coordination and proactive pitching

You Have:
• 4-6 years of experience working in the digital space with influencers/talent/Creators or digital content creation across advertising and marketing
• A sophisticated understanding of the influencer/Creator space
• Experience negotiating agreements with talent and/or talent reps/managers
• Great partnership and relationship-building skills
• Can-do, accommodating, yes-attitude and quick problem-solving skills
• Understanding of the digital landscape and a proven interest in keeping up to date with developments in social media platforms, trends & emerging talent
• A self-starter, who is creative and can execute on their vision independently
• A proven track record of success working with talent in the digital space
• A nuanced understanding of the importance of diversity, inclusion and belonging in the overall Creator and content space - strong DI&B principles should underscore your general decision-making and creative processes
• Visual and verbal communication skills - Experience in Keynote & Google Slides a must
