We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Tax Credit Analyst to join our team! This is a full-time, permanent position.

Requirements:

Role & Responsibilities
• Supporting the Executive Vice President Production and Postproduction with originating project workbooks, which include tax credit estimates and budgets. Calculating initial tax credit estimates across the globe (US/Canada/Europe/Africa/Asia etc.) and scenarios across different formats (film, tv, animation, non-scripted) on a show-by-show basis and updating estimates as production progresses.
• Engaging tax credit opinion for each show as well as external auditor where required.
• Sending out alerts when production spending is veering off course and advise on ways to correct the spending. Maintain tax credit tracker across all projects, reporting monthly on status and highlighting any concerns where production spending is veering off course.
• Managing all tax credit eligibility applications and any subsequent completion applications and submissions.
• Audit production books before year-end/end of production to ensure tax credit coding and tagging has been done correctly, including some spot-audits mid-year/during the show. Work with production accountants to correct any issues/mistagging or coding.
• Managing all tax credit audits, including obtaining all required documentation from BRON's Finance and BA team, preparing tax credit calculations, and working directly with external auditor to address all questions and concerns.
• Liaising with tax credit authorities to ensure jurisdictional rules are understood and followed.
• Liaising with tax credit lenders and ensure they are kept up to date on estimates and schedules.
• Working with external year-end tax accountants to ensure their needs are met with regards to tax credits, and that tax credits are applied for in a timely manner, and per production's and tax credit lenders/financiers expectations.
• Ensuring nothing is left outstanding on shows for auditing purposes and for full tax credit payout.
• Be able to read and have a general understanding of corporate tax returns, and the process of preparing and filing them
• Delegating organizational and audit tasks to other post production accountant(s).

Qualifications
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum 5 year of experience in related field preferred
• Experience having applied for Film & TV tax credits in Canada, USA, NZ, UK or other jurisdictions
• Preference is given to candidates who have been involved with the filing of corporate tax returns, or who have directly overseen the filing of corporate tax returns
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
