Requirements:
Role & Responsibilities
• Enhance, support and extend existing in-house tools and frameworks.
• Provide technical support to end users, department TDs and ATDs, implementing bug fixes or suggesting solutions and workarounds.
• Develop tools in collaboration with the pipeline developers and studio coding standards.
• Create and maintain tools documentation.
• Collaborate with the Pipeline Developers and TDs to map out and optimize workflows and tool integration.
• Research and recommend improvements to workflows to improve productivity or communication.
• Participate in daily scrum and other pipeline related meetings.
• Assist with other related production tasks at the discretion of the Producer.
• Perform any other roles and responsibilities that are typically required by a Pipeline TD.
• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned in the future.
Qualifications
• BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• 5+ years' experience in VFX and Animation software development
• Expert knowledge of DCC software and computer languages
• Ability to understand situations quickly and shift priorities as needed
• Experienced with user interface design in QT/PyQT
• Experienced working in the Windows OS and Linux
• Understanding of scheduling, task estimates and capacity planning
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Unreal Engine an asset
• Working in Game environment an asset
