We are looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join our team! This is a full-time, permanent position.

Requirements:

Role & Responsibilities
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close process for various, multi-currency entities, including preparation and booking of AP/AR invoices, monthly journal entries, intercompany invoicing, and account reconciliations
• Prepare quarterly billback reconciliations and invoices
• Prepare monthly consolidated development cost report
• Prepare corporate bank reconciliations in a timely basis
• Review AP and AR prepared by Accounts Payable Clerk and Junior Accountant
• Assist with preparation of monthly / quarterly / annual financial statements for reporting and tax filing purposes
• Assist in preparation of year-end working papers for external audit purposes
• Support direct and indirect tax compliance activities including but not limited to GST return, PST return, etc.
• Provide training and assistance to other staff members as required
• Assist with other related tasks at the discretion of the Corporate Accountant or Corporate Controller
• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned in the future

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, preferably finance related, or equivalent and a minimum 3 year of experience in an accounting role
• Actively pursuing or plans to pursue CPA designation considered an asset
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience in the film and entertainment industry considered an asset
• Experience with SAP B1 considered an asset
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
