Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Supports BMI's Licensing efforts through data management, report and dashboard creation, insightful analytics, business intelligence, Salesforce configuration, and process improvement. Works cross-departmentally with many of BMI's business units to understand business processes, gather requirements, and help the teams build, monitor, and implement data-driven solutions. Uses data to tell stories of how departments and processes are performing.

LOCATION: Nashville, TN office. BMI has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding future transitions will take place in phases as BMI continues to closely monitor COVID-19 as employee safety is our priority.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Essential Functions: These may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
• Uses various technologies to mine complex, voluminous, and different varieties of data sources and platforms to build, automate and maintain a growing suite of datasets, reports, and dashboards that service the analytic needs of Licensing to support effective business decisions and/or processes.
• Performs detailed analysis on data sets and formally presents insights, trends, recommendations, and decisions to users, management, and executives using reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Executes data configuration and mass updates and inserts in Salesforce to support lead, sales, and customer relations processes and data integrity.
• Supports the quality of Licensing data through analysis, testing, monitoring, reporting, QA automation, and communication of data issues and improvements to management, Information Technology (IT), and subject matter experts.
• Participates in, and sometimes leads, meetings with business units and stakeholders to plan, resolve issues, and gather requirements.
• Provides triage of certain Salesforce and reporting requests/issues and manages those issues through resolution, including gathering information, submitting service tickets or stories, and testing solutions.
• Manages integration and accuracy of data from external sources and various internal databases, by utilizing coding and data tools.
• Creates and publishes Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and produces documentation for systems, reports, data management and operating procedures.
• Develops a strong understanding of the business' processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures
• Works closely with Information Technology function to manage licensing requests for IT projects and follow through to completion. Ensure requests, system/data issues and project updates are communicated as needed in a timely manner.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent years of experience.
Experience: Three (3) years of experience in business analysis, data analysis or related experience required including report and dashboard creation.
• Three (3) years' SQL experience required with demonstrated ability to write and create complex SQL database queries.
• One (1) year advanced report and dashboard creation within the Salesforce platform required.

Skills and Abilities: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
• Experience with TOAD, SSRS, SSMS, and PowerBI preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite with a strong emphasis on Excel including V-Lookups and Pivot Tables.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze/interpret complicated data sets to help facilitate the decision-making process, provide observations/recommendations.
• Ability to tell a story through formal presentation of the data analysis and recommendations to management and executives through data visualizations.
• Strong time-management, organization, and prioritization skills with attention to detail and the ability to maintain multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Flexibility. The ability to work both independent with minimal supervision and in a group.
• Excellent verbal and written communication including strong presentation skills with the ability tell relay information concisely and avoid unnecessary complexity.

License(s)/Certifications Required:
SQL Knowledge – certification preferred.
