Your New Role…

Warner Brothers, Discovery (WBD) seeks a Sr Director, Agile Delivery for the Sport Technology department. This is an exciting position for a leading global sports provider. This position will lead project and delivery management responsible for planning and execution of all Sports Technology initiatives.

This leader will manage the delivery team for Sports Technology through the adoption of Agile practices and methods resulting in positive, on-time and within budget organizational outcomes. Guide the engineering & product team(s) through the Agile implementation process via training, tools, and coaching. Seamlessly integrate with partner teams across technology and product verticals to ensure maximum efficiency and cross-departmental cohesiveness. Monitor team performance and routinely implement process improvements. Socialize and evangelize to embed Agile values and mindsets across the organization.

This leader partners with other Technology, Product, Design and Delivery Leaders to help teams deliver on product initiatives and operational execution. He/She offers expert recommendations for tools, strategies, best practices and software lifecycle processes and solutions to help create, enable and support delivery of solutions.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability and results
• Exceptional cross-team collaboration, able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done.
• Develop an inclusive training plan that aligns with WBD organizational realities and culture (supports our ''brand'' of Agile)
• Use a combination of performance metrics and team feedback to establish the team's ''brand'' of Agile
• Track implementation progress and react to deficiencies to meet overall expectations (i.e. re-training as needed, process tweaks)
• Monitor Agile performance metrics (sprint burn-down, velocity, etc.) and provide feedback and coaching as necessary to improve outcomes.
• Ensure baseline practices/methods and eventually improvements are documented to aid in training and on-boarding
• Improve adoption by establishing and socializing Agile values across the organization
• Assess current team and individual capabilities
• Identify capacity or skills needed and develop a hiring strategy
• Provide administrative support and ongoing leadership to the overall team. Chief of Staff responsibility for sports technology.

Qualifications & Experience…
• 10+ years of experience in project/program management for a large scale engineering organization or tier 1 consumer facing application. At least 7 years of technical program management experience
• At least 5 years of people management experience in program management
• Bias for action, a sense of urgency and willingness to jump in and execute tactically.
• Proven experience in capacity planning, and risk management.
• Strong experience in project development lifecycle and project management.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent problem solving and influencing skills
• Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listener, and empathetic towards teams and partners

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in New York City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $149,800.00 - $278,200.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
