Overview:

Bleacher Report (a division of Warner Bros. Discovery) is the social voice of sports – creating and collaborating on the culture of sports for the next generation of fans. Our vision for making sports bigger than games has led to an unmatched engagement and an industry-leading fan experience through its highly addictive Bleacher Report mobile apps.

We've recently embarked on a new strategy to reimagine the apps and modernize our technology stacks. We're looking for a Mobile Engineering Manager to be a leader on this mission and help us build a world-class engineering team.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and grow a diverse team of senior/staff iOS and Android engineers while encouraging a collaborative and inclusive environment
• Ensure the team is consistently delivering working software/features to expected standards
• Work closely with the talent team to ensure smooth candidate experiences and top talent for the engineering teams
• Undergo performance reviews and daily people management across the team • Proactively manage issues early to avoid bigger problems later
• Proactively support your team members to achieve their performance and development goals
• Ensure the team is collaborating closely with key stakeholders, such as product managers
• Interface with the senior leadership team and other functional areas to ensure that business needs and timelines are being met

Requirements:
• Experience leading teams in fast-paced and complex environments
• Passionate about coaching and people development
• Exceptional at written and verbal communication
• Familiar with mobile best practices and design patterns
• Experienced with recruiting, managing, and fostering talent on a technical team
• Passionate about adding to and growing an organization's engineering culture
