Customer Relationship Management Freelancer (CRM Freelancer) – Big Ten Network
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Big Ten Network (BTN) is looking for a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Freelancer to join our team in Chicago. You will be responsible for developing marketing emails to convert, engage, and retain B1G+ subscribers throughout their lifecycle. B1G+ is BTN's direct-to-consumer product offering live streaming of non-televised games, next day on-demand archives, and access to BTN's library of previous season classics and originals. We are looking for someone who has experience with lead and retention strategies, understanding of customer list management and prioritization, and familiarity working in the streaming/direct-to-consumer environment.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and implement direct email marketing campaigns
• Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling
• Collaborate with graphic designers to improve the appearance layout of outputs
• Distribute emails using automation software
• Monitor and report on the utility of each campaign
• Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
• Ensure mobile-friendly email templates
• Upgrade our email templates using graphics, personalization and advanced features
• Ensure prompt and accurate communication with clients via email to minimize unsubscribes
• Ensure emails follow industry policies and best practices
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Experience working in CRM and list management
• High level of marketing writing skills
• Excellent communicator across all channels: emails, push notifications, and web
• Previous experience with HTML coding
• Knowledge and familiarity with streaming media platforms and services
• Experience supporting content marketing and promotional strategies
• Capability to work non-traditional hours, which will include nights and weekends
• Possess a knowledge of all things relevant to Big Ten Athletics

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
