Job Description
BET is seeking a Vice President, to lead the implementation of marketing tracking, reporting and analytic solutions that provide insightful data and visualizations. This individual will be critical in facilitating end-to-end cross-functional project management support in our fast paced environment. They will act as the primary point of contact, working with digital, social, marketing, media management, post operations, original programming, all branches of legal, distribution business development, ad sales, and international. The ideal candidate will ensure deliverables fall within timelines, applicable scope, and budget. This person will manage communication and coordinate project plans and deliverables across BET's creative, content, and marketing teams.
Overview & Responsibilities:
• Lead the brand Marketing Mix Modeling and Attribution Practices
• Be a great data storyteller. Synthesize complex data sets into clear, concise, and compelling insights that encourage action through powerfully engaging narratives that drive growth for our brand and business
• Work with BET+ Business Insights team in developing and maintaining sophisticated yet accessible dashboards highlighting key marketing performance indicators
• Create interactive data stores in business intelligence tools by visualizing key insights to tell your story and convey the most meaningful information
• Apply analytic reasoning to draw out insights in alignment with business priorities, explain the logic and reasoning to partners, and deliver recommendations that are parallel with strategy
• Lead with an experiment-orientation strategy across all marketing efforts using data to inform strategic decisions and tactics
• Extract, transform and blend a diverse data set of data sources from systems and relational databases
• Flag and monitor data quality to ensure confidence in the data used for analysis
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 10+ years experience in marketing analytics or customer insights, media experience preferred
• Minimum 4 years experience with web analytics tools such as Nielsen, Comscore, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and Tableau
Additional Qualifications:
• Excellent oral/written presentation skills; proficiency in advising and influencing partners at all levels of the business to achieve strategic objectives
• Experience in translating business objectives into measurement goals
• Advanced data analysis skills with the ability to clearly present complex information in a simple manner, discern business meaning and inspire action based upon your point of view through strong storytelling
• A self-starter who can achieve results in an intense, fast-paced, virtual team environment; handle multiple projects and prioritize responsibilities
