Your Mission

You will participate in various mandates relating to the game engine for our mobile platforms (iOS and Android), including work to improve and maintain the performance, stability, scalability and capabilities of the game engine. 

You will also be required to work closely with the different Activision studios as well as external partners. Lastly, you will be responsible for monitoring video game technologies in the industry (programming languages, online sources, pipeline, etc.).    

Your objectives
• Develop game engine features – networking, commerce, control management, telemetry, crash reports, data system – for mobile platforms;
• Optimize and improve existing systems, particularly in terms of performance, memory and game data;
• Debug and maintain the code base to meet elevated standards of flexibility and performance;
• Integrate and improve the development kit (SDK)/third-party library;
• Participate in creating data export technology (animations, sound, textures, modelling…);
• Ensure the quality and performance of developed game features;
• Provide support for developed features to internal users.

Player profile
• Proficiency in C and/or C++ language and real-time systems;
• Experience with XCode and VisualStudio;
• Experience in mobile development;
• Familiarity with CPU ARM architecture; 
• Familiarity with the Android SDK or iOS SDK;
• Good analytical skills;  
• Versatile;
• At ease performing duties autonomously;
• Adaptable to internal tools and a constantly evolving work environment; 
• Positive attitude and good working with a team;
• Passionate about video games;
• Perk: Familiarity with the Vulkan or Metal APIs;
• Perk: Familiarity with other languages, e.g., C#, Lua and Python;
• Perk: Good knowledge of game engines.
