Your mission

Achieve and maintain lighting of indoor and outdoor levels, using dynamic and/or static lighting tools to enhance a scene or a character.

Your objectives
• Ensure that the lighting deliverables are implemented according to the production plan;
• Keep a balance between visual quality and required performance;
• Maintain an artistic style coherent with the vision established by the art director;
• Work hand in hand with environment/level artists and engineers to determine the best approach to solve lighting issues;
• Collaborate with designers to ensure that lighting contributes to missions, goals and pace of the game;
• Develop new lighting techniques with engineers.

Player profile
• You have at least one (1) year of experience working in a video game studio or the equivalent, and you crave this type of work environment.
• You've successfully delivered at least one (1) realistic type game title as a lighting artist with physically based lighting.
• You're able to present an exceptional portfolio which clearly shows your mastery of the realistic style, materials & shaders, and lighting techniques.
• You've kept up with the latest lighting innovations and you make it your business to try them out.
• You know how important it is to collaborate with engineers, environment/level artists and art directors and you don't wait for them to come to you.
• You're familiar with Maya and/or 3DSMax and you're especially at ease with Photoshop. You know how engines are built and you understand how to get the best out of them in terms of lighting.
• You're keen to learn how to use new internal tools and you don't get discouraged when faced with regular change;
• You have a very good knowledge of French and English both spoken and written.
