Your Mission

As a team leader (aka Lead), you will be required to be involved on several levels with the team of environment artists, acting as a facilitator at the operational, human and technical levels. While maintaining a good level of expertise in your field, you will also take care of your employees and support them during their time with Beenox. Your leadership skills will help your team of artists surpass themselves and create the AAA material expected of Activision's franchises.

Your objectives
• Ensure that deliverables and artistic components are produced by your team in line with the production and art direction plans;
• Ensure optimal production pipelines by collaborating with various in-house departments;
• Explain technical issues to employees and address issues that could slow down production;
• Facilitate communication among production, other departments, and your team;
• Participate actively in project planning, prioritization, and review sessions;
• Ensure that your team members receive the necessary training to do their jobs and that they develop their skills;
• Hold regular discussions in one-on-one meetings with team members;
• Participate in the recruitment and selection of personnel for the team;
• Write and hold employee performance reviews;
• Approve work schedules and time sheets.

Player Profile
• 5 years of practical experience with an art department in the video game industry;
• Skilled at 3D environment modeling in high and low resolutions;
• Excellent leadership and communication skills;
• Artistic talent and attention to detail;
• Extensive familiarity with the technical constraints of video game production and a keen interest in video gaming;
• Methodical and organized work ethic;
• Ability to manage several projects at a time and to delegate tasks;
• Fluent in French and English;
• Adaptable to a working environment subject to continuous change;
• Perk: Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Zbrush, Maya, 3DS Max and Substance.
