Job Description

Bally Sports South is looking for an experienced Ad Sales Planner who is primarily responsible for the development of strategic sales proposals that meet both the advertiser and network's needs.

Resposibilities:
• Liaison with Sports partners to ensure that all contractual obligations are met
• Lead in the creation of proposals for incoming RFPs by creating media plans to meet advertiser and category objectives
• Address client needs while highlighting the value and capabilities of the network
• Build media plans and schedule units based on inventory avails
• Collaborate and brainstorm with the team in the creation of proactive and strategic proposals
• Ensure media plans include accurate pricing and utilize approved products and available inventory and adhere to defined business processes to ensure optimal program performance
• Complete additional projects as directed by Strategic Planning and Ad Sales Finance Management
• Assist in the coordination of sales marketing materials
• Work closely with Sales to manage all preemptions and programming changes - recommend schedules according to availability, generate flow charts to reflect all changes, cancellation options and expansion options
• Develop strong understanding of our products and solutions for advertisers
• Assist in the creation of effective go to market tools for the sales team
• Establish relationships with agency and advertiser partners
• Respond to Sales requests about inventory, ad products, creative specifications, and research
• Liaise with Sales and Marketing to ensure sold schedules run
• Be cross trained with local and national sales, and be able to accurately enter orders, provide confirmation of orders to management and know how to pull sales reports

Requirements and Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalency is required
• At least three (3) years related experience in media sales or buying
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet research
• Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and handle projects independently, as well as part of a team
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in preferred
• Knowledge of media math and audience metrics a plus
• Previous experience in television production and sales, including a working knowledge of television sales/ratings is preferred
