Job Description
Bally Sports' mission is to build a transformative, participatory sports platform, anchored by the most exclusive and relevant live professional games, that provides fans a year-round opportunity to engage with content and communities they are most passionate about. Reporting to the VP of Product, we are looking for a Head of Design that will shape and share the design vision for the future of Bally Sports across a variety of channels.

Bally Sports Head of Design Responsibilities
• Act as ''go to'' with in-depth knowledge of design best practices and standards; research and industry trends, competitors, comparable experiences; design industry trends and tools
• Set the vision for the design organization and growth plan, building and managing an agile team of full-time, freelance and agency partners
• Bring a keen, systematic and visual eye to the Bally Sports experience and be a voice in helping blueprint the future. Be an effective, engaging communicator that can present strategy, approach and concepts to all levels of the company
• Partner with the Head of Product and stakeholders to set the vision for the cross-platform ecosystem. Collaborate with developers, product owners, marketing, operations, editorial teams, programming and others to define the product experience and overall Bally Sports brand
• Develop deep partnerships with cross-functional partners to effectively speak to design processes, design goals, and deliver user insights that inform product and go-to-market decisions
• High and low level planning to determine what activities, deliverables, timing and rounds of iterations are required to balance quality with speed of delivery
• Lead design and research initiatives, coordinating on and deploying a variety of user research and design methodologies to uncover user needs, envision concepts and evaluate solutions
• Take on ownership for designing, developing and managing internal delivery processes and tools to help the entire practice become more effective. Drive and document design standards, patterns and guidelines across products and channels
• Be responsible for scaling the design team, building relationships with universities for internships, attending industry events for recruitment, hiring top tier talent and managing a distributed team
• Effectively provide feedback to designers in how they frame problems, define insights, create compelling visions, design concepts and prototypes, and communicate their ideas
• Guide the careers and development of designers, ensuring the amplification and growth of team members. Assess their skills and development areas to align them to the right challenges and learning opportunities for continued evolution and chances to lead
• Lead and direct world class designers working on multiple projects simultaneously across multiple channels
• Transform broad business, technical, data and customer needs into a well-defined set of problems to solve and goals to achieve while maintaining premium design quality
• Engage in regular project reviews and critiques to ensure that the solutions being delivered are at the highest quality and aligned with the brand / product strategy

Requirements
• At least 15 years of experience designing for any or all of the following: highly trafficked content-driven websites and/or native apps, subscription services with a focus on conversion or large-scale video-centric experiences across multiple devices
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, Invision, Principle, or equivalent technologies; knowledge all various platforms human interface guidelines: iOS, Android, and OTT platforms
• Successfully built, scaled and led high performing design teams
• Adept at building relationships, liaising with multiple stakeholders and thrive in complex matrix environments
• Ability to manage multiple projects and an ability to prioritize and organize to meet tasks and deadlines
• BA/BS in relevant field or equivalent experience
• Consulting experience is a plus
