Digital Content Assistant

Job Description

Bally Sports North/Bally Sports Wisconsin is seeking a Digital Content Assistant! This position is responsible for creating and posting content on the Bally Sports North and Bally Sports Wisconsin digital and social platforms (websites, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube). This is a full-time, 40-hour a week position which involves shifts during days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities:
• Create compelling content with a focus on written editorial but also graphic and video.
• Write, brainstorm and plan original stories, write headlines, revise and rewrite content such as AP stories and press releases.
- Clip and post highlights and interviews from pregame, games, postgames and press conferences and write compelling copy for social media and websites.
• Ability to use graphic templates and/or design graphics.
• Assist with coverage of live events both remotely and on site.
• Post to all social media aspects of the network

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and commensurate experience required
• Website programming and social media experience is required
• Basic knowledge of Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube
• Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
• Familiarity with Wildmoka or other live video editing platform
• Superior oral and written communication skills are required
• Superior organizational and project management skills are required
• A solid understanding of HTML, copy editing skills, sound news judgment and a proven ability to create effective news packages on deadline is required
• A demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects in fast-paced environment is essential
• Must be able to manage time efficiently and have ability to multitask
• Working nights and/or weekends based around sporting events is a must.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Explorer are necessary
• Experience with AP style is a plus as is previous sports writing experience (please provide clips).
• The ability to work effectively, both individually and as part of a team, is needed
