Overview

Audacy Chicago is looking for On Air Talent at the legendary WXRT-FM. We're looking for someone who can carry on a conversation with the audience-on and off the air. You'll entertain the masses, connect with the community, and meaningfully engage via social.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
• Create original content and perform live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative
• Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; managing online personality presence
• Protect the station's FCC license
• Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly
• Operate the control board and assist with production when necessary
• Make personal appearances at community and station events, sales appearances and remote broadcasts
• Other duties as required by management

Qualifications

More About You:
• At least 5 years of on-air experience in a major/large market.
• Must have extensive knowledge (and be a fan) of the Adult Alternative format and understanding of the audience
• Must be an excellent communicator with strong creative skills and work well in a team atmosphere as a great collaborator.
• Must have solid productions skills and a strong working knowledge of studio audio equipment necessary for on-air and production execution, including on-air digital systems such as Wide Orbit.
• Knowledge of FCC rules, geographical demographics
• Excellent on-air voice and phone skills with demonstrated track record required
• Ability to work harmoniously as part of a collaborative show and on air team.
• Must be collaborative with sales
• A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required

Physical Requirements:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Majority of work day will be spent sitting at broadcast board, speaking into a microphone and manipulating board controls.
