Overview

The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for managing various enterprise-wide financial activities including assisting in the preparation of periodic filings, researching complex accounting matters, and other accounting functions.

Reporting to the Director, External Reporting and Technical Accounting, this position is newly created and will work to ensure the Company's financial records are compliant with US GAAP.

This individual will work to improve efficiencies, standardize processes and drive effective coordination with internal and external business partners to ensure processes are meeting the needs of the business. The role is also responsible for ensuring an effective internal control environment.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

Support in managing all aspects of the Company's Corporate Accounting process.
• Assist in preparation of the Company's periodic public filings (10-K, 10-Q, Proxy, 8-K and other documents as necessary)
• Monitor new accounting literature and SEC rules and analyzing the impact on the Company
• Implement appropriate accounting methodology in complex accounting areas such as business acquisitions, equity compensation, leases, revenue recognition, and intangible assets
• Assist with management of corporate treasury function, including cash management and oversight of account reconciliations
• Review of senior accountants' work and cursory review prior to submission
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff
• Plan, assign, delegate and direct work as appropriate

Qualifications

More About You:

Required & Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Understanding and knowledge of US GAAP
• 6+ years of accounting or finance experience. Management experience required.
• Experience interfacing with internal/external contacts, must have strong communication skills
• Experience in managing projects/engagements and leading a team
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite applications, with high degree of proficiency in Excel
• Accuracy and attention to detail; Self-starter with strong organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• CPA
