Part Time Broadcast Journalist
Overview

News/Talk 830 WCCO, Minnesota's heralded/legacy voice for news and talk, is seeking an experienced reporter/anchor for weekend and part-time air work.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include anchoring newscasts in the studio or reporting from the field, cultivating and contributing story ideas, writing compelling and relevant copy, conducting interviews for actualities in a journalistically objective manner, interacting with talk shows as part of an on-air ensemble team, posting news content across all station digital platforms, and consistently developing contacts and sources for stories. Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Journalism or Communications. Must have newsroom experience and at least 3 years of anchor experience or an equivalent combination of education.
Other Skills and Abilities

Computer literate, expertise using audio editing software and broadcast equipment, highly organized, excellent public relations skills. Ability to write, edit and organize stories. Must have the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Vaccination Requirements
