Job Description
Job Overview: The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for general HR administration, with a focus on supporting on maintaining employee records, new hire onboarding and orientation, and supporting special HR projects.

HR Administration
• Prepare and maintain accurate employee files
• Update and maintain employee data in the HRIS system
• Update and maintain the ASCAP Organizational Chart
• Manage and track internal document processes (payroll processing, approval to hire forms)
• Support the employee onboarding and offboarding processes
• Manage and coordinate pre-employment communications and onboarding/orientation activities
• Manage and maintain I-9 verifications; conduct regular I-9 audits to ensure compliance
• Submit and review online investigation requests and employee background checks
• Complete employee verification requests
• Respond to and manage unemployment notices
• Oversee semi-monthly Payroll administration
• Submit semi-monthly payroll changes to the Payroll department
• Conduct semi-monthly audits of various payroll/benefits changes
• Submit HR/benefits bills for payment; manages the HR bills in Concur
• Assist with anniversary awards administration
• Support recruitment efforts as needed, including coordination of interviews and job postings as needed
• Respond to employee requests and questions; direct employees to the appropriate individuals in the HR department
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team, as needed.
• Special projects as necessary
• Support employee culture initiatives such as Take Your Kids to Work Day, social hours, and employee holiday events

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
• Previous HR/internship experience preferred
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize work effectively and multitask
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated strengths in taking imitative and follow-through on tasks and projects to completion
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and execute tasks with tact and discretion
• Approachable and helpful to ASCAP team members
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of employees including Senior Management
