JOB DESCRIPTION – Associate Scrum Master

We are looking for an Associate Scrum Master to join the ASCAP Global Technology Solutions team at ASCAP. The Associate Scrum Master will support small to medium size projects, along with general project coordination tasks, on an exciting variety of strategic initiatives relating to information security, engineering and architecture, infrastructure, and platform services.

The Associate Scrum Master is responsible for creating work schedules, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, tracking milestones and deliverables and reporting on project progress. This individual may also provide administrative support for special projects and ad hoc tasks. The Associate Scrum Master exhibits excellent communication, exceptional and highly-detailed organizational skills, enjoys collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, enthusiastically manages multiple tasks, projects and priorities effectively, and welcomes challenging and spontaneous assignments.

The qualified candidate will have demonstrated the following:
• Provide project coordination support modeling many of the Agile Scrum practices such as facilitation of daily stand ups, demos, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
• Serve as a point of contact for projects and liaison with managers and project team members to ensure customer satisfaction, deepen customer relationships, and ensure clear and consistent communication is maintained across all stakeholders and teams.
• Support project initiatives by creating project plans, roadmaps, and monitoring tasks.
• Report on statuses and proactively identify and communicate issues, risks to projects and escalate roadblocks to successful delivery.
• Provide administrative support on special projects.
• Facilitate meetings with individuals at all levels from staff to senior management.

Qualifications
• Ability to drive multiple small to medium sized project initiatives to completion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent, highly-detailed organizational skills
• Prior experience as a Project Coordinator or Scrum Master
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant project management experience
• Willing to jump in and wear multiple hats on ad hoc assignments, as the need arises.
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with a desire to present ideas and incite positive change.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Roadmunk, and Status reporting templates is preferred.
• BA/BS or equivalent experience
