Be part of defining the next wave of audio experiences. Amazon Music is looking for a dynamic single threaded leader (STL) to drive the editorial content, performance, and talent strategy for DJ Mode-an on-demand listening experience that combines the personalization, control, and breadth of catalog of streaming with the vibrancy and personality of DJ-hosted radio. Leading an editorial production team of content producers, and working cross functionally with the product org, the STL will work backwards from the best experience for music fans and customers, implementing processes for getting great content from artists; manage talent selection; and own end-to-end production and operations. You have a world-class editorial and curatorial sense for what makes a premium listening experience, drawing on best practices from across the audio media spectrum, including podcasts and terrestrial radio. You'll obsess over content tenets and SOPs, ensuring ongoing improvement of tooling and production processes. And you'll be responsible for defining the best metrics for success, working with tech and content teams to improve features as needed, and drive the strategy for global adoption.

This role sits at the intersection of music, audio, and content, and will contribute to content and product strategy across the broader global music industry org. You will contribute to developing new audio formats, working across editorial and programming priorities. The right candidate must have a drive for bar-raising excellence, commitment to robust collaboration, and a dedication to bringing dynamic and engaging experiences to fans and customers worldwide.

Responsibilities:
• Own content strategy and implementation of content channel
• Work to attract and cultivate talent, industry, and content partners across all genres and audiences
• Own strategy and implementation of the content listening experience
• Manage production processes for a world-class listening experience, using internal and external resources
• Advise and work cross functionally on experience excellence across all aspects of UX/UE
• Drive testing and measuring to ensure the experience maintains editorial relevance
• Drive collaboration with internal teams, including product/tech and artist/label relations, programming, and genre
• Work across music industry teams to amplify product success and impact
• Own production processes for a world-class listening experience, using internal and external resources
• Drive testing and measuring to ensure the experience maintains Editorial relevance
• Act as key owner for editorial content across the organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 7+ years of experience in an editorial and/or production management role in customer facing audio
• Track record of producing world-class, entertaining audio content from the idea stage to post-production
• Music subject matter expertise and/or experience collaborating with artists and industry on world-class content
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience driving a strategy with multiple teams / stakeholders
• A strong track record of owning process and production deliverables or timelines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience leading content teams, especially remotely or in dispersed locations
• Proven ability to thrive in a fluid environment and think on the fly
