Prime Video is changing the way people watch movies and TV shows and is now available in more than 200 countries and territories. We are seeking an experienced media executive to take the lead on many of the processes and feedback loops that are so important as we scale our business globally. This member of the Amazon Studios team will work with leaders in Amazon offices around the world, as well as leadership in LA and Seattle.
We are seeking a Senior Creative Operations & Planning Executive to be a part of the Amazon Studios team. This individual will lead projects for cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of processes, projects and infrastructure in the creation of Amazon Original content. They gather business requirements, document functional and project progress, identify appropriate resources needed, assemble the right project team, assign individual responsibilities, and develop mechanisms to ensure timely, fiscally efficient, successful decision making across the U.S./Global TV organization . This individual will contribute cross functional business and technical skills, assess and manage risks, measure and report on progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management and balance the business needs with the technical constraints. They rely heavily on influence over authority to drive project deliverables. The ideal candidate will excel when it comes to communication and organization skills. He/she has a high attention to detail and is an expert at building and maintaining internal relationships. Amazon Studios, and Amazon overall still operate very much with a start-up mentality, and so this executive needs to be equally comfortable leading high level meetings and rolling up their sleeves to handle document writing and analytically grounded strategic recommendations for the company.
Key activities include:
Establish goals, plans and related metrics, track progress, and manage through obstacles to achieve program objectives
Analyze and improve efficiencies of creative decision-making mechanisms between our U.S./Global TV creative, production and operation teams.
Author business documents and reports to communicate state of the business or recommend new content business initiatives
Create reporting and dashboards for key metrics to illustrate progress against goals to support team activities and report to management on weekly/monthly basis
Work cross functionally with the senior leaders, creative development, content licensing team, original production teams, research, production, finance, marketing and legal departments to document and define initiatives and drive them through execution
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience working with other departments such as casting, production, research, PR, business and legal affairs
• 9+ years of experience as a creative executive
• Experience overseeing all creative aspects of development production and post production
• Bachelor's degree is required in business, finance, marketing or related fields
• Experience working with business owners to define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions through the use of analytical and quantitative data,
• Experience leading a team to achieve aggressive short, medium and long-term goals
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Masters in Business Administration degree is preferred
• A passion for content, brands, digital media and digital video
• Nice to have, but not essential: Expertise in data mining, data management, reporting, and SQL queries
• Strong leader who can prioritize well and communicate clearly, both verbal and written, across all levels of the organization with a proven ability to influence others
• Demonstrated bias for action with strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss business and technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas
