Job summary
Amazon Kids is looking for a Senior Creative Executive to contribute to the growth of our original programming for audiences aged 3-12, across scripted, unscripted, live-action and animation. This person will have strategic as well as creative responsibilities – forging relationships in the industry, overseeing development of series from pitch through post, and working hand in hand with cross-functional teams to shape our slate of integrated multi-media original properties. The ideal candidate is both a strong creative and invested leader with the proven ability to work collaboratively, solving day to day creative problems as well as supporting bigger strategic and production conversations. They will have an entrepreneurial spirit, with extensive experience in building, inspiring and managing a fast-paced content team across development and production, creating a culture of innovation and thinking big.

Key job responsibilities
• Forging industry relationships, identifying and evaluating original content opportunities
• Slate planning age groups and content types (scripted, unscripted, live action, animation)
• Overseeing development of original series pitch through post
• Liaising with internal teams (Business Development, Marketing, PR, Research, etc.) to operate and deliver against goals
• Monitor kids content trends and generate bar-raising content initiatives
• Evaluating content creation pipeline

About the team
Amazon Kids is scaling quickly. What began as a small, parent-friendly experiment in children's multimedia content has quickly become one of the top kids' media subscriptions in the world.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 6+ years of series development experience
• 3+ years at senior creative executive level within television or film
• Bachelor's degree and/or graduate degree or applicable industry experience in lieu of degree
• A proven track record for driving high performance content and growth within a world class content company
• Extensive working knowledge of the kids media landscape

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to operate in a highly competitive, rapidly changing environment
• Positive, proactive and able to consistently exercise great judgment.
• Excellent story skills.
• Familiarity with scripted and unscripted storytelling, live-action as well as animation workflows
• Creative problem-solver.
• High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
• Experience at setting and delivering against departmental strategy and goals
• Familiarity with AVOD, FVOD, SVOD or OTT video services
