Job summary

The Quality Standards Manager for Localization Operations will closely collaborate with Global Localization leadership on Operational, Financial, Creative, and Project Management initiatives, in conjunction with Post Operations and Studios Strategy teams. They will devise and implement programs to capture, analyze, and correct subjective issues present in subtitle and dubbing deliverable outputs. Additionally, they will collect and analyze data related to external and internal partners and processes to improve departmental, or third-party language service provider and in-territory vendor, performance.

Key job responsibilities
The role will partner with external stakeholders to identify procedures & align processes prior to roll-out within localization. They will also work with Product and Strategy teams to articulate and improve data schemas, and define business requirements for technical teams. In partnership with the technology teams, they will define guardrails and test outputs of new systems and tools from a quality perspective. This role will also help to define localization quality metrics and KPIs, as well as track and analyze progress against those targets. The role will also lead root cause analysis and track trends across various originating countries, workstreams, and content types to identify and resolve quality defects in localization systems, people, processes, or vendors.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of experience in program or project management related to content production
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with a variety of centralized Subtitling and Dubbing localization workflows and product types, including movies or series across multiple regions and languages, or experience working in the local office of a global studio or post-production environment geared toward work with the same
• Direct experience utilizing 3P post vendors and technical/workflow mechanisms from the beginning (greenlight) to end (distribution) of episodic or feature content life cycles globally
• Direct experience with a variety of digital media workflows and asset management
• Detail oriented with excellent and proactive organizational skills
• Advanced written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
• Fluent in entertainment, post-production, and localization terminology
• Competency of wide array of media asset types and digital transport mechanisms
• Familiarity with foreign languages (Spanish, German, Japanese, etc.)
• Experience with both technical and content metadata organization and submission
• Understanding of security standards, requirements and protocols for high-profile pre-release content
• Familiarity with component-based localization and mastering workflows such as IMF or MMC
