Amazon Studios is responsible for producing and acquiring compelling, exclusive Original content for our massive global base of Amazon Prime Video customers. As the home of Original shows and movies like the Emmy Award-winning comedy The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, the raucous and satirical superhero takedown The Boys, the sequel to Eddie Murphy's cult-classic film Coming 2 America, and, coming in 2022, the TV adaptation of The Lord of the Rings, we are just getting started. The Original Content Strategy team is seeking a Strategy Manager to join our Culver City-based group. The Original Content Strategy team works closely with senior leaders across Amazon Studios to guide our Original content selection strategy and planning. The Original Series Strategy Manager role will be an essential member of the team, with substantial strategic and analytics responsibilities. The person in this role will be responsible for driving the studio-wide greenlight process for Original Series, leading broad strategy workstreams, helping manage the improvement of our content valuation frameworks, and delivering deep analytical insights about our content portfolio. The Strategy Manager will be expected to develop strong relationships with cross-company stakeholders and partner closely to deliver high quality work output. Lastly, given this role's high degree of visibility to Studios leadership, the Strategy Manager will also be expected to earn a high degree of trust with senior leaders and communicate effectively with this audience.

Key job responsibilities
• Identify deep, actionable insights into the content preferences, behavior and needs of our customers, globally
• Perform extensive competitive benchmarking analyses, and identify and elevate noteworthy trends for a senior audience
• Forecast, monitor and evaluate content performance, track progress, understand sources of variance, and elevate insights to executive leadership
• Author business-driving documents that surface key learnings and provide recommendations for our go-forward content offering
• Oversee and drive deep analytical workstreams that aim to improve the performance of our Original Series slate
• Produce Original series greenlight and renewal assessments, including content valuation and series portfolio analysis

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 4 year degree in a relevant field
• 2+ years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or strategy/business development at a major media or technology company
• Experience using complex modeling and analysis to inform key business decisions. Candidates must be highly proficient in excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience in a Content Strategy & Analysis or Corporate Strategy capacity at a Streamer and / or Media Entertainment company preferred
• Experience scripting and/or using SQL in a business environment with large-scale, complex data sets
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
• Ability to work effectively with a high degree of autonomy
